Duffy looking to start win streak vs. Crew

After an off-day Thursday, the Royals open a three-game set in Milwaukee with left-hander Danny Duffy (3-3, 4.24 ERA) getting the start on Friday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The Brewers have not yet named a starter. Duffy was scheduled to pitch Tuesday in Detroit, but he was skipped for disciplinary reasons after missing the team's charter flight out of Kansas City on Monday. Duffy last pitched on Sept. 9 against Cleveland and threw 5 2/3 shutout innings, giving up four hits and four walks while striking out four.

Whit Merrifield and Adalberto Mondesi both homered as part of multihit games to lead the Royals' offense, while Carlos Hernández made his first Major League start in Kansas City's 7-4 win over the Pirates on Saturday.
